Untitled I es una instalación site-conditioned expuesta en la vidriera de La Compañía. El espectador es obligado a ver algo que normalmente pasa por alto: la luz. La mayoría de las personas tienen una relación de funcionalidad con la luz — si está muy oscuro la prendo; me voy de la habitación y la apago. Los colores y la profundidad de la obra generan investigación, uno camina alrededor, mete la mano entre los paneles y mira cómo se ilumina, toca el material translúcido para entender, busca ángulos para ver cómo los colores se combinan, cómo la luz cambia la mesa y la habitación. Se genera una actitud atenta en el espectador llevándolo a conocer mejor las cosas que lo rodean — el mundo en el que vivimos.

Untitled I is a site-conditioned installation displayed in the shop-window of La Compañía. The viewer is compelled to notice something normally overlooked: light. Most people relate to light only functionally—if it’s too dark, they switch it on; when they leave the room, they switch it off. The work’s colors and depth invite exploration: one walks around it, slips a hand between the panels and watches how the hand lights up, touches the translucent material to understand it, searches for angles to see how the colors merge, how the light transforms the table and the room. The piece cultivates an attentive attitude in the spectator, prompting a deeper awareness of the things that surround us—the world we live in.
There is still more to see here, turn me so you can see all my sides, let your gaze through me, draw closer to me, open me up, divide me up; keep on looking me over again and again, turning me to see all sides.
